Zvonimir was born in Varazdin (Croatia) in 1952. He finished primary as well as secondary school in Varazdin.
In his youth, one of his many interests was sport, mainly soccer and wrestling. Furthermore, he was known for his musical career, as he played various instruments and sang in many bands in and outside Croatia. In the 1980s, Zvonimir was living in Vienna (Austria), where he was one of the founders of the soccer club Dinamo Wien.
After his return to Varazdin he was the founder of a music band called Grupa VZ, with which he was successfully performing all over Croatia, as well as in Germany and Austria.
From the 1990s, Zvonimir became seriously involved in painting, and as an amateur painter he uses various techniques for his works: watercolor, tempera and oil on canvas.
The most common themes of his works are landscapes (of the river Drave), still lives, animals and plants, the countryside, his hometown Varazdin and the seaside.
